Absolutely loved this place! My husband and I stopped in for breakfast while in town and was blown away by how good the food was—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the menu had a great variety of both classic favorites and creative options. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a warm, relaxed atmosphere and a delicious breakfast to start your day right. We'll definitely be back!

If you want honest wholesome delicious Southern and American food (especially breakfast or lunch), you can't expect to top this restaurant. Staff is friendly and engaging "to a fault" — kind and accommodating. I really felt genuinely taken care of like an honored guest. To eat at a restaurant in a really small town, you never expect too much as "there aren't that many games in town" but this may be one of my best restaurant experiences anywhere, any time. I know I'm gushing but the food was great for everyone at our large table. Some commonly expected choices and some more sophisticated dishes too. Generous portions, fair prices, high quality and they make a strong effort to source locally and ethically, while also concentrating on quality. They also have a little shop next to the dining room. Some impressive items actually and some unusual surprises. Made me realize I might have been underestimating the place because it's a very small town. If I lived nearby instead of hundreds of miles away, I'd be a regular. Whenever I'll be in the general vicinity (visiting family), I will expect to visit again. Every server, the desk clerk, the cashier, and the manager were all super. We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces.

Such a great find! We live in the area and have had mostly disappointing experiences going out to breakfast—mostly overpriced, mediocre food. That all changed this morning at The Sawmill. We were seated as soon as we walked in the door. We ordered a coffee & a cappuccino. (Both drinks were very good & made at their coffee bar in the adjoining Market.) My husband ordered “The Sawmill” which had 2 eggs, bacon, grits, and a biscuit/gravy. I had the “Banana Bread French Toast”. It came with 3 slices of homemade banana bread French toast, sausage, pecan butter, & whipped cream. Both meals were excellent & portions were so filling that we skipped lunch. The staff was very friendly & provided great service. We will definitely be back!

I was impressed with the sawmill place. I came in at 8am on a Saturday and the place was already packed. But, thanks to the friendly folk we we're seated in 5 minutes. Plenty of great southern breakfast options for you here. I chose the banana nut bread french toast. It was very good. No syrup needed here. Don't miss the sweet potato pancakes or their very own locally sourced sausages! A friendly, local diner with great food and a big heart.

As always the customer service is like we are part of a big family. I feel like they recognize us whenever we walk in the door but not in an annoying way. Super kind! They have the most amazing grits, omelette, (Ham & American cheese is a must) hash browns. My husband gets the chicken biscuit. It is a large yummy looking biscuit and real chicken breast.

Great atmosphere. Went there for breakfast during the week so it was only about a 5 min wait. I ordered the banana nut bread french toast. It would have been really good if I didn’t put maple syrup on it. I took some home and had it the next day with just butter and it was great! I will definitely go back there again.

A great breakfast experience! The staff was very polite and helpful. Even during the busiest time of the morning, the staff was smiling, joyful, and attentive. The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. The portions are good size, thus making it a good value. Parking spaces fill up quickly, but even the patrons were pleasant and no one acted inappropriately while waiting for a spot. Locals and out of towners give The Sawmill Place great reviews; now we know why!
